Swedish Model runs NYC whorehouse

I love New York. She needs to move here. I have some extra bedrooms.

Hope it can Happen to you

Pro Obama commercial that is a parody of a famous commercial on sexually transmitted diseases.

The number one sexually transmitted disease in America: children.

Obama has a sore hip and McCain has a nick taken off his face.

Please let the election be over soon.

Obama's hip.

McCain's cheek. No not that one you perv.

73 Year Old Porn Star Dazzles Japan

Man, those Japanese are wacky.

Makes me want to pick up and move in a few decades. Perhaps I can turn my life experience as a "manwhore" and whore monger into a late life career.

What kinda vitamins does this guy take, cause I want em.

So many toons so many issues

Attention NutJobs: Obama is an American

It is kinda amusing. In a kinda strange sorta way.

He was born in Hawaii. Get over your nutjob theories.

He could have been born on the moon and if his mama was an American, she was, then he is a natural born American. Sure he has a funny name. Sure his dad was an African and an asshole. So what?

My dad was born in Ireland. My mom in Chicago. I was born in Chicago. Guess what? I'm an American. So is Obama. Deal with it.

Interesting Story on a SUB

Dat's "sport utility bike". Get the story and view the video at Salon.

Since I live in one of the most foot friendly walkable neighborhoods in the known universe and I ride bikes frequently I like this story. I remember when I was 15 all I wanted was to drive a car and find a girlfriend. I did drive a car and much later I actually started "dating" women. Now I don't even own a car and would rather ride a bike. As for women I prefer short term "rentals" over ownership. Thank you Craiglist "erotic services".

Mr T and a HomoPhobic Snickers AD

Found this over at Andrew Sullivan dot com.

The worst thing about the ad is not the homophobia and "man" aspect. It is the lack of being funny. As for "Mr. T", he always struck me as some over the top black gay hairdresser anyway. I mean who besides a gay hairdresser would call themselves "Mr T" and run around with that amount of jewelry. This semi closeted heterosexual, chicks don't dig me like they did back in the 80's, gives his ad a big hetero thumbs down. I should know. My middle name is "ManSavage".

"The Wild Bunch" on the Big Screen at the "Music Box Theatre"

See it Wednesday or Thursday.

I saw it years ago on the big screen at the now closed Fine Arts Theater on Michigan Avenue. One of the most violent movies ever made. At least good movies. Naugh, not good, freakin great.

Alderbeast Shiller's Campaign Disclosure

Yes, boys and girls, ladies and gents, it's that time again when I look over our esteemed alderwoman's campaign financial disclosure.

To quote Monty Python "My Nipples are Exploding With Delight".

You can see the Official State of Illinois Campaign Disclosure website here.

You can read below for specifics or go to the page devoted to Saint Helen of the 46th here.

Simply put, Lady Helen of Uptown took in approximately $45,000 in the first six months of this year. She spent about $11,000. Unlike some other alderslime who use their campaign funds to purchase or lease expensive cars and other personal items Our Lady of Wilson Yard seems to use little or none of her campaign fund for personal expenses. Which is nice. So she has that going for her. Perhaps she will receive total consciousness on her deathbed from the Dalai Lama as recognition for her good works.
More likely not.

Shiller's campaign has about $28,000 in debt. Some of which goes all the way back to 1988. Must be nice.

The campaign has about $42,000 on hand at the end of June. Which is nicer. Essentially the campaign is now in the black. The loan that was taken out in March of 2007 has been paid down from $25,000 to approximately $17,000. Nice work there Sister Helen.

Her donations came from a wide variety of businesses and people. Guys named Joyce and Teele who are very close to "da mare" jump out when I look at the numbers as does her good pal Sam "Leona's Pizza" Toia. Many, many, many real estate related companies and individuals gave the campaign moola. She also got a $300 donation from the "Polish American Awareness Foundation". I hope they are aware they are wasting their cash. It is a new group and their first event was April 3rd. So far, according to my crystal ball which I keep in a discarded Guinness keg under my front porch, Shiller is the only politician to get a donation from this group. Very interesting.

So read on if you want to see specifics or just check out the damn websites yourself.

I do like the Barackantor, but sometimes his followers and admirers do seem to take him a wee bit too seriously.

From Joel Stein at the LA Times:

He's effete. He's well-dressed. He eats arugula -- which he buys at Whole Foods. He mocks those who use guns. He is, as we mentioned, quite thin. He may only be half-black, but he's three-quarters gay.

It is closer to the truth to say: No beer, no civilization.

Da Blues is in Trouble

Found this link over at Gapers Block dot com. Story on how the blues are blue in Chicago.

Now more than a half century later, a music that was born in the rural South and raised in the urban North, has grown old and tired. Its fan base is aging, key blues haunts have shuttered and some of its up-and-coming musicians are struggling. Nowhere is the decline more evident than in Chicago, arguably the city that made the genre famous.

To Hell with Term Limits. Vote for Dubya in 2008

Vote God's way or he will get pissed off and kill some of us.

Yes, we can vote for George W. Bush in 2008. We have the right to write in the name of our chosen candidate, regardless of whether or not he is officially on the ballot.

We know that George Bush was God's Candidate in 2000. We know that George Bush was God's candidate again in 2004. And George Bush has been God's president for the last 8 years.

Trust in God and vote your faith. Keep America safe. Write-in George W. Bush for President in 2008.

Casualty of a Domestic War

Slain Chicago Police Officer laid to rest. Honors funeral for Richard Francis.

I like the words of the priest: "It's the only profession in America where being murdered is referred to as the line of duty." Father Tom Nagle, Police Department Chaplain.

I don't know what mistakes were made here. Perhaps a cop in a one person squad. Certainly a system that did not help or take off the streets a seriously mentally ill woman. All I know is that a good man nearing the twilight of his police career was shot and killed.

He served his country in Vietnam, his city as a Chicago cop, his neighborhood as a coach and mentor, and his family as a husband and father. The world is a slightly better place because of him. It would be nice if that could be said for all of us.

2 Stories, 2 Deaths, 1 War

From George Will.

"The curtains pull away. They come to the door. And they know. They always know."

-- Maj. Steve Beck,

U.S. Marine Corps

Sometimes Beck would linger in his vehicle in front of an American home, like that of the parents of Lance Cpl. Kyle Burns in Laramie, Wyo. Beck knew that, as Jim Sheeler writes, every second he waited "was one more tick of his wristwatch that, for the family inside the house, everything remained the same."

Medic in famous photo dies after PTSD struggle

By Kelly Kennedy - Staff writer
Posted : Monday Jul 7, 2008 11:42:14 EDT

During the first week of the war in Iraq, a Military Times photographer captured the arresting image of Army Spc. Joseph Patrick Dwyer as he raced through a battle zone clutching a tiny Iraqi boy named Ali.

The photo was hailed as a portrait of the heart behind the U.S. military machine, and Doc Dwyer’s concerned face graced the pages of newspapers across the country.

But rather than going on to enjoy the public affection for his act of heroism, he was consumed by the demons of combat stress he could not exorcise. For the medic who cared for the wounds of his combat buddies as they pushed toward Baghdad, the battle for his own health proved too much to bear.

Bozo Actor Kaput and Senator Helms Burns in Hell

Guess which one is worth mourning?

The other is not even worth a link. Jesse Helms was an asshole of metaphysical proportions.

I recall an "artist" who drew the face of Senator Helms on his penis and then videotaped it. Quite funny. Can't find it, but the Music Box Theatre showed the movie years ago.
Peggy Noonan pens a column for the 4th of July.

John went on to landings in Marseilles, Iwo Jima and Okinawa. After he came home, he went on to chair Goldman Sachs, work in Ronald Reagan's State Department, and head great organizations such as the International Rescue Committee. He is, in that beautiful old phrase, a public citizen.

But if you asked him today his greatest moment, he'd say that day on the beach, when he was alive and grateful for it. "At that moment, dead tired, soaked to the skin, I would not have wanted to be anywhere else in the world."

It is silly to think one generation is "better" than another. No one born in 1920 is, by virtue of that fact, better than someone born in 1960. But it is true that each era has a certain mood, certain assumptions—in John's era, sacrifice—and each generation distinguishes itself in time, or doesn't. John's did. He himself did. And what better day than today to say: Thanks, John.
